Major Currencies Performance on Monday Trading Session - 9.7.2012


The biggest winner up to now for today against the US dollar was the Japanese Yen with modest gains at 0.09 per cent followed by the precious metal having profits up to 0.04 per cent. Investors are looking for safer place to put their money as hopes for an EU solution to the debt crisis are fading as well as labor data on Friday for US economy were disappointing. The Swiss franc and the British pound had softer performance today with returns close to 0 per cent.
Furthermore, the Euro was at 0 percentage change against the greenback until 3 pm CET, the common currency fell earlier to 1.2254 however later on recovered to Friday’s close. The Loonie was weak today and lost up to 0.18 per cent. Finally, the worst performer was the Aussie against the US dollar, the FX pair slipped to 1.0153 today and had losses of 0.35 per cent.
