NetTradeX vs MetaTrader

They are quite similar in functionality, but NetTradeX has a number of features which distinguish the platform from MetaTrader 4 and 5. The clients of IFC Markets have an opportunity of trading on NetTradeX, MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 platforms at the same time.

On NetTradeX platform along with trading a wide set of instruments, setting orders and conducting technical analysis, you can also work with additional order types, create your own trading instruments and many more.

  • Optional trading volumes set in base currency;
  • Balance trading, in which two opposite positions are algebraically added together;
    Apart from the balance trading, “locking” is also possible which means that two opposite positions can exist together. The trader can choose between these two trading options when making a deal.
  • Any client has an opportunity to create personal trading instruments PCI (Personal Composite Instrument). Personal instruments are formed by the client from a variety of available assets, have their own spreads, swaps and calculable deep history for building charts and making technical analysis.
  • Program trading, allowing to create and use your own trading programs and indicators through the built in language NTL+;
  • Opportunity of displaying the percentage change in the dynamics of several (up to 10) of financial instruments on the same chart;
  • Setting complex orders – OCO (one cancels the other) and activated order (activated when the price hits a predefined level);
  • Setting alerts with a wide range of options: reaching preselected price level; order execution; trailing stop activation; price change, reaching margin level, reaching profit/loss level, reaching preset time; balance operation execution;
  • Traders can open positions with one click using “Quick deal window”;
  • Trailing Stop mode is active on the server (even when the client’s terminal is turned off).

On MetaTrader 4 platform you can trade a wide set of instruments, set orders, conduct technical analysis, as well as create advisers for program trading and use trading signals service.

  • Program trading with the opportunity to create your own and use trading programs and indicators created by others. Programs and indicators are created and compiled by means of MQL4 programs built into the MetaTrader 4 clients’ terminal.
  • Using signals service, the traders may become a provider of trading signals for other traders and a subscriber to the trading signals from other traders.

On MetaTrader 5 trading platform you can trade a wide range of instruments, set orders and conduct technical analysis, as well as create advisors for program trading and use the trading signals service.

  • Opportunity of trading in one of the two regimes: the regime of netting, exchange trading, when positions on one instrument are combined into one position with a weighted average price, as well as the opportunity of working with the “depth of market”; the regime of hedged (lock) trading, when all positions exist separately (as in MT4).
  • Program trading with the opportunity to create your own and use others’ trading advisors and indicators. Programs and indicators are created and compiled by means of the object-oriented MQL5 language built into the MetaTrader 5 client terminal.
  • Signals Service with the help of which traders may become providers of trading signals for other traders and subscribers to trading signals from other traders.
