Google shares rose 1.84% outperforming market on Friday despite Raymond James’ cut of its stock price target from $159.00 to $143.00 on Wednesday following Q2 earnings and revenue miss the previous day, Facebook shares lost 1.0% on Friday amid reports Meta will stop paying US publishers to put their content in Facebook’s News tab.

The Dollar weakening has resumed currently. The live dollar index data show the ICE US Dollar index, a measure of the dollar’s strength against a basket of six rival currencies, slipped 0.2% on Friday while data showed private wages and salaries accelerated to 5.7% over year.

EUR/USD resumed its climbing while GBP/USD ended flat Friday after euro zone CPI data showed the euro area inflation continued at record high levels in July. Both Pound and euro are higher against the Dollar currently. USD/JPY decelerated its retreating while AUD/USD continued is sliding Friday with both the Australian dollar and yen higher against the Greenback currently.

Futures on US equity benchmarks are down currently after US stocks closed up on Friday following Commerce Department report showing the personal consumption expenditures price index jumped 1% over month in June, outpacing personal income gains, which rose just 0.6%. The three main US stock benchmarks recorded daily gains ranging from 1.0% to 1.9%.

European stock indexes futures are mixed currently after ending up on Friday with oil and gas shares leading gainers. Asian indexes futures are mixed today with Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index leading gains despite official data indicating China's factory activity contracted in July.

Brent is down today. Oil prices ended higher on Friday despite energy services firm Baker Hughes report US oil rigs, an early indicator of future output, increased for a record 23rd month in a row. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures rose 2.3% but is lower currently. Brent crude gained 2.1% to $103.97 a barrel on Friday.
